The sun is shining and a huge white tent has appeared in Walpole Park. This could mean only one thing… Ealing’s Beer Festival is back (and we’ll have another souvenir glass to add to our collection)!
Returning for its 26th year, this years festival boasts more beers than ever before and something to suit all tastes. For the first time ever, there will be beers from Ealing, brewed at the Ealing Park Tavern under the Longarm name. Other local brews are Aeronaut and Dragonfly from Acton and our particular favourite, Weird Beard from Hanwell.
The beers we’ll be keen hunting down are:
- Dark Star - American Pale Ale
- Longarm - Lucky Penny
- Trumans - Zephyr
- Weird Beard - Mariana Trench
Other more unusual offerings to look out for include nettle beer and beer & chocolate tasting at 2pm on Saturday (tickets to be purchased in advance). Plus, beer haters take note, there are a selection of ciders, perrys, English wines and meads on the menu.
It’s just a case of navigating the three bars and the crowds of sun-loving beer lovers to track down your favourite brew. QOS tip, take cash as there are no card payments taken at the bars.
