You may or may not know that Sir John Soane’s Pitzhanger Manor & the adjoining Gallery (in Walpole Park) have temporarily closed their doors to the public for major refurbishment work.
Plans for the transformation include returning the house to its former glory, the gallery refurbished and upgraded, plus a new restaurant and event space built in the walled garden. Plans are on the website, and you’ll have plenty of time to digest and visualise this transformation, as the buildings aren’t due to re-open until Spring 2018.
If you want one last peek, we’ve heard the house will be open to the public this Saturday. Unlock your inner urban explorer and freely wander around the historic building and explore rooms which have never been seen by the public before.
The event is this Saturday (28th March) from 11am - 4pm. It’s free to attend, no booking required.
