It always surprises us when we meet a die-hard Ealing-ite who hasn’t visited The Walpole.
Perhaps it’s the unassuming location on St Mary’s Road, or the fact it’s only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. But with recommendations from Marco Pierre White, The Evening Standard and, well, us, surely you can’t go wrong!

The Walpole’s menu varies from week to week, with the latest offerings posted to their Facebook page. We’re always happy to see a menu featuring fresh, seasonal produce cooked up to create hearty and delicious dishes. The service is warm and relaxed, adding to the restaurant’s homely feel. Providing a refreshing break to the chains and serving up delightfully generous portions of some good British food which is full of flavour.
Our tips for a visit to the Walpole. Make sure you book. Make sure you are hungry. And if the portions beat you, don’t be afraid to ask for a doggy bag…
