No doubt you’ve heard all about the London craft beer explosion. Maybe the names Meantime and Camden Brewery are familiar to you? It’ll come as no surprise to hear that we’re huge fans of the craft beer movement. We love the fun, creative, and of course tasty aspect to this fledgling industry.
Whilst most of the action is centered around East London, the talented chaps of Weird Beard Brewery, Hanwell, are forging a name almost single handedly for West London craft brewing.
Two award-winning home brewers setup the brewery around 18-months ago and haven’t looked back since. Priding themselves in making “explorative, no-holds-barred beer” that is never “knowingly under-hopped”. From their humble beginnings they now hold place in London’s craft brewing elite and would feature easily in our top 10 London breweries.
If you’ve not had a chance to sample their most excellent range of beers, you can find their bottles sold at Cheddar Deli, Northfields High Street, or (usually) on-tap at The Grosvenor pub, Hanwell.
Alternatively, they’re hosting one of their excellent open day’s on Sunday March 1st. You’ll get a tour of the brewery with their master brewer, whilst sampling some of their latest brews and pick up a case or two of beers on your way home. A perfect Sunday afternoon if you ask us!
