Established in 1898 Hanwell’s historic carnival returns to Elthorne Park this Saturday.
It all kicks off with a colourful and noisy procession beginning at Hanwell Community Centre, featuring local artwork, live music and led by the Carnival Queen, Princess and Prince.
In the park you’ll be rewarded with artisan food, live music, charity stalls and craft tents. Football fans are offered a range of activities hosted by QPR. Plus an animal zone including crocodiles (!) brought in by Shaun Foggett (UK’s answer to Steve Irwin) - lets hope he’s set up well away from the pony rides and dog show…
So, get your sun hat out, picnic blankets at the ready and get ready to enjoy the community spirit which makes our borough so special.
Open: Midday to 6pm
Procession assembles at Hanwell Community Centre in Westcott Crescent at 10am
