St George unveils an array of Christmas festivities taking place at Dickens Yard in collaboration with Make it Ealing.
Taking centre stage, at 5pm on Saturday 24 November 2018, the lights to a spectacular Christmas tree will be switched on by pupils from Christ the Saviour Church of England Primary School. Master Ceremonies for the evening will be Angelica Bell, the well-known TV and radio presenter and winner of 2017 Celebrity MasterChef.
Dickens Yard will also host a Christmas market, 11am – 6pm, in Elizabeth Square. Operated by Eat Me Drink Me, the market will offer a wide range of street food and fresh food provided by local business including Curious Roo by Artisan Coffee, Off the Wagon, a converted trailer bar offering expertly made cocktails and local beer, and Debaere, a premium artisan bakery.
To find the perfect Christmas gift, there will also be an array of local designers and craft stalls such as Handmade in Ealing, Kokona Jewellery and Hibiki, amongst many others. A craft area, hosted by Make it Ealing, will offer free face-painting for children and a masterclass in decorating Christmas cards and baubles.
In addition, Ealing Broadway Ward, led by Councillor Seema Kumar, will host a silent auction of heritage street signs with all proceeds going to Ealing Street Pastors and Ealing Soup Kitchen. For more information on the silent auction please visit cera.org.uk/auction/.
No.17, the new neighbourhood bar and restaurant, will be host to the day’s entertainment including local Ealing choir I Want 2 Sing.
