Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery is now officially opened to the public. With the exterior beautifully restored to Sir John Soane’s original Regency design. It really is stunning and is only going to get better as Spring brings the grounds into bloom.
The interiors have also been completely restored, from the regal Colonnade connecting the Gallery and Manor, down to the finest brush strokes in the awe-inspiring hand-painted Chinese wallpaper, there is detail to admire at every turn.
Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery
The newly restored Pitzhanger Gallery has marked its place as a major cultural venue, with the inaugural exhibition featuring a series of sculptures by Anish Kapoor.
Photographs can’t do this series of curving and disorientating mirrored sculptures justice. The clarity and immersive nature of the dizzying pieces, literally turn the newly restored setting on its head.
The Gallery was good before, it’s world-class now! Congratulations to everyone who’s been involved in the entire project. It really is a showstopper and has added yet another jewel to our mighty suburban Queen’s crown.
